Level Up Compass

About Level Up Compass

A small, independent journal of single-player adventures.

Why a compass?

Choosing a long game is a commitment. Store pages tell you what a game is; they rarely tell you what the journey will feel like. We wanted a way to point players in the right direction before they set off.

What we cover

Single-player adventures you can finish: exploration games, platformers, mysteries and story games. We leave out games built around randomised paid rewards or casino-style mini-games.

How we review

Each game is played to the end of its main story. We time our play, try the assist and difficulty options, and write a field report without spoilers.

Independence

We buy our own games and accept no payment, keys or gifts for coverage. There are no adverts on this site.
